BACK TO DIGITAL SOUND RESIDENCY
Pleased to introduce Quelza, the 8th host of Kuboraum’s Digital Sound Residency unleashing ‘La Divina Commedia’, an 8-minutes-long musical and emotional catharsis that will disintegrate any preconceived notion of tangibility.
French-born Berlin-based producer otherwise known as Léo Naïtaïssa is a craftsman of sophisticated, organic dance music and an emerging talent among the new wave of artists from the Berlin scene. His maturely skilled sound and style weaves between haunting synths, soul-summoning techno and snappy breakbeats, often evoking cinematic soundscapes fuelled by long breakdowns and heart-in-mouth gaps. Simultaneously intense & weightless, Quelza navigates the abyss of nightmarish electronic music with an experimental approach to conjure up well-curated, forward-thinking sound sculptures.
After releasing La Valse (2021) and Les Malicieuses (2022) proposing an expansive and all-encompassing sound, his latest EP 47030 (2022) represents the apotheosis of his work so far, mining new territory in the realm of miasmic, melancholic techno.
In addition to his production work, his unorthodox DJ sets can often be heard throughout the underground circuit regularly in clubs like Berghain, Tresor, Fabric & Khidi.
