LOW JACK FEAT. LE DIOUCK

For the latest Kuboraum Digital Sound Residency, Paris-based producer Low Jack teams up with Senegalese-French artist Le Diouck on ‘TLC’ — a stripped-back piece that dissects club music into its barest components to deliver Le Diouck’s raw, elliptical vocals over fragments of rhythm and sub-bass, sitting between contemporary rap and deconstructed club sounds.

Born in Honduras, Philippe Hallais, aka Low Jack, is a Paris-based French multidisciplinary artist and former co-director of Éditions Gravats. Playing with sound clichés and media folklore, he is inspired by the multiplicity of musical languages associated with underground subcultures. His unique sound blends dancehall and sound art, resulting in dubby and futuristic mutations of the Caribbean sound.

Le Diouck is a Paris-based artist and rapper of Senegalese origin, known for his ability to fuse traditional African sounds with modern influences. His fluid musical style is characterized by dynamic rhythms and energetic flow, often marked by a strong social and political dimension

in his lyrics. Singing in Wolof, French, and English, he reaches an international audience through collaborations, notably with Crystal Murray and Lala &ce.

Following their collaboration on Baiser Mortel (2022), Low Jack and Le Diouck also worked together on Mangrovia, a film premiered in June 2024 at Bourse de Commerce in Paris that explores the complex relationships between memory, dance, and the passage of time, with Le Diouck’s voice playing a key role in the narrative​.
